GREATEST LOVE OF ALL
I'm driving home today from work stuck in traffic on the freeway listening to The Greatest Love Of All by Whitney Houston. As I listen to the words of this song, I feel myself wailing up with tears. "I believe the children are our future" and I think WOW they are our future...
"Teach them well and let them lead the way"...
Although I've thought about my son and grandson growing up and what their future holds. My emotions were heavy just thinking that really one day our children will be adults and what kind of life will they have.
I realized after listening to this song that since we don't know what the future will be, we must teach our children first to ALWAYS trust and believe in GOD. They must always DEPEND on themselves, BELIEVE in themselves and never walk in anyones shadow and if they fail or succeed at least they lived in what they believed. Life is precious and has many challenges especially for our boys and if they don't believe in themselves no one else will.
I know you all have heard this song as many time as I have, but if you get a minute listen to it again - its a GREAT song and it certainly made me think about my children and their future.
Letme know what you think

ADHD MEDICATIONS/LACK OF APPETITE/WEIGHT LOSS
My son has been on medication for ADHD for the past few months - which has helped him in sooo many ways. However; one of the side effects is lack of appetite and weight loss. I've read that 4% of children will experience these two things and my son happens to be one of them.
Since he started the medication he's lost a great amount of weight in a short period of time....
Because of the rapid loss weight, his doctor has asked that we take him off the medication for a couple of weeks so he can try and gain some weight. So we did, and its amazing how you can see the difference in him when he's not on the medication.
Unfortunately, I was told that lack of appetite which causes the weight loss is one of the side effects for all the medications for ADHD.
He's come so far in school & home, going from BAD grades to EXCELLENT grades to see him go back to his old ways....I have tried everything to get him to eat but he just doesn't have an appetite....HELP !!! Has anyone experience this or has any suggestions.
Please post your comments I want to hear from you...... Thanks

LEAVING THE TOILET SEAT UP (WHY)
Do you ever walk into a bathroom after it was used by a boy?? Well I did today...
How about a lifted toilet seat and a unflushed toilet. Not paying any attention and rushing, I went into the bathroom right after my son came out and sat right down onto the lifted toilet seat and unflushed toilet...You can imagine. How disgusting is what I yelled.
I do my best with my son to teach him manners and not be disgusting. I don't get it - How hard can it be to flush & put the seat down when you are finished. I don't know what else to say or do.
I guess boyzwillbeBOYZalways.....
Can anyone help me out? I would love to hear your feedback. You can leave your comments below.
